Eataly asked me an illustration for a new ceramic plate in its revamped Mediterranean-inspired mise en place.

The plate, with a white background, features blue fish along the rim, all traveling in the same direction, except for one, red in color, which is going in the opposite direction: a metaphor for a choice dictated by the conviction that good food, for the sake of the planet and our future, can and must be sustainable, sometimes even at the cost of going against the grain.
