TINGINYS

TINGINYS – Moodboard

Moodboard illustrations for the new feature film “Tinginys” by Maximilien Dejoie, produced by Roberto Cavallini for Albolina Film.

Tinginys is the “coming of age story” of Marilee and James, thirteen and eight years old, children of Lithuanians who migrated to a rural area of Canada. When their mother contracts the Spanish flu of 1918 to avoid contagion Marilee and James are forced to move to a cabin in the woods, waiting for their father to return from the European front in World War I. To protect her little brother from their grim reality, Marilee tells him the story of the Tinginys, a fantastical and dangerous creature that lives in the woods and is best kept away from. Marilee will manage to survive in a hostile environment, overcome her fears and learn to distinguish imaginary threats from real and impending dangers.
