Illustration made for the wine label MATER / Best Innovation Vinitaly Design Award 2025

The label is made from recycled paper and printed with a unique formula: a natural color derived from a reduction of Aglianico grapes, beetroot, and cardamom. These ingredients are printed in an attractive form—not only visually appealing, but meaningful. Embedded within the paper are seeds which, once planted in the soil, will grow into a new plant. This natural recycling process turns each bottle into an act of sustainability, carrying a message of hope and renewal. The idea behind Mater is to reduce environmental impact by creating packaging that, rather than polluting, helps restore and regenerate nature. Every part of the container—from the cork to the glass bottle—is recyclable and free from adhesives or harmful substances.
